Filipino United Church of Christ is transforming our 3.25-acre Waipahu campus into a vibrant, edible agricultural space dedicated to community resilience, environmental stewardship, and food security.
Our initiative focuses on three core pillars:
Local Food Security: Actively cultivating tropical fruit orchards—including 50 local banana trees generously provided in partnership with the Hawaiʻi Department of Agriculture and Hawaiʻi Tropical Fruit Growers.
Cultural & Community Connection: Establishing a traditional Lei Garden and hosting island-wide community events, like the upcoming Oʻahu Share Plant Community Event this August.
Ecological Stewardship: Engaging multi-generational volunteers in hands-on sustainable agriculture, bridging cultural traditions with modern land care.
We invite community partners, volunteers, and funders to join us as we cultivate a healthier, more connected Waipahu.
